Santa Elena Canyon offers one of the most dramatic ceremony settings in Big Bend National Park. Sheer limestone canyon walls rise 1,500 feet on both sides as the Rio Grande carves through the landscape, forming the US-Mexico border. Exchange vows at the base of the canyon with towering ancient stone framing you on both sides and the river flowing quietly at your feet. Max 30 guests. NPS permit required ($100 non-refundable fee, minimum 30 days processing). Restrictions: artificial flowers only (no live or dried), acoustic music only, no amplified sound, no structures, no confetti or petals, no drones. Short sandy trail (0.75 miles round-trip) with one small creek crossing leads to the canyon mouth. Paved parking available.

My planner Abigail was on top of things, she helped me find the best vendors, she helped me with my wedding design (and when I say “help” I mean she pretty much did the whole thing), she was always available to answer my questions and calm my nerves. I love that you can shop at all price points across many services. I ended up booking my photographer, venue, officiant and makeup artist based on her recommendations and they were terrific. Our wedding was literally perfect in every single way and we have Wedy to thank for that!

This was informative and helpful--highly suggest using this to help you stay on budget! She listened to our needs and created a custom proposal. From there, we booked the package and she took over. She contacted vendors, coordinated the arrival, planned the timeline etc. She was EXCELLENT! The day of I had zero worry, because she had everything taken care of including our permits.
